Ulla Lehmann was born in 1978 in Berlin. As part of her studies of French Literature and Culture at Freie Universität Berlin she spent 2 years in France. After her studies and the production of several short films and assistances in film productions, she completed a French-German Master of Film Production at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and la Fémis (Paris) in 2005/2006: „Atelier Ludwigsburg Paris“.
After a project-based job for the French-German Film Meeting 2006 at German Films in Munich, she worked for four years as Production Manager at zero one film in Berlin.
Here, she specialised in documentary formats: From the 8x45min. docu series „Die Spurensucher“ for ARTE and SWR (Director: Kerstin Hoppenhaus) to international cinema co-productions like „The Guantanamo Trap“ (Director: Thomas Wallner, GER/CAN/CH/F, Special Jury Prize at Hot docs Toronto) and „More than honey“ (Director: Markus Imhoof, CH/GER/A) which has won several international film awards.
Before collaborating with Andrea Roggon, she worked for the agency Zum goldenen Hirschen Berlin
2011. Here, she produced several corporate films.
Ulla participated in several project markets and intercultural film workshops: in Cairo, Amman, Marrakech, Sarajevo and she was a member of the Zurich Master Class 2010.
